How Group set works

Training sets send swimmers off on staggered 5–10 second intervals: the 1st swimmer in every lane leaves the wall together, then the 2nd swimmers, then the 3rd. One wall clock can't time them all — this page gives each send-off its own start.

Tap Start as the 1st swimmers in each lane leave the wall — then again as the 2nd, 3rd, … go. Only the next send-off's Start is enabled, and the first Start launches the shared clock at the top.

Tap a lane's Stop as that swimmer finishes; their time freezes in place. Clear resets everything (it asks first once times exist). The screen stays awake while you're timing.

Use and + next to Clear to set how many lanes you're timing (1–8).

Each finished time gets a small footnote: H is its heat — the send-off it swam in (the swimmers who left the wall together on that row), so every time in the first row is H1, the second row H2, and so on. # is its place overall. The Overall column on the right lists every time fastest-first, each tagged with its heat–lane coordinate — e.g. 2-3 means heat 2 (the 2nd send-off), Lane 3.

Poolside records anonymous usage counts only — which features get used and how often — never your times or any personal data.
